A huge thanks to SaskOutdoors and SK Lotteries for providing project funding to our school this year. We had an online presentation with Trapper Annette Ozinry-Hobart, Annette shared learning and teachings from her perspective as an Indigenous women who has a close relationship with the land and the many animals on her trapline. We were also able to have guest presenters Russell Fayant and Brenna Pacholko join us outdoors to learn about the common method of travel for many Metis long ago, the Red River Cart. Students even had an opportunity to build a small-scale cart. Students also learned about different plant medicines and took a walk through our school yard, discovering some of those medicines that grow right around us!
